My work focuses on issues such as acute stress, interpersonal difficulties, and challenges involving mood and anxiety. While I welcome individuals of all backgrounds, I am particularly invested in working with people with marginalized identities— a welcoming ally to queer and trans-identified individuals and people of color. As a therapist, I have over thirteen years of experience working with a range of at-risk populations in a number of professional settings. I also have specialization in working with teens and adolescents.
Many the people who come to see me arrive feeling like they move from one stressor to the next. Getting out of bed is difficult, creativity and passion fade, and scrolling on a screen replaces human contact. My practice aims at helping individuals uncover, clarify, and address substantial barriers which block pleasure and satisfaction. The work I do involves a deep exploration of historical, interpersonal, and emotional factors in conjunction with the development of practical skills aimed at fostering wellness.
